Volunteer with us
The work we do at Harambee would not be possible without the support of a dedicated team of volunteers. Some of them have been with us for years, some are regulars and others provide us with the benefit of their knowledge or expertise on a consultancy-type basis. So, if you are thinking of getting involved there are many flexible ways in which you can do this.
Some of our volunteers are have a strong interest in the field of development education but this is not a pre-requisite. If you would simply like to improve your administrative or IT skills, develop your office and social skills, perhaps in order to re-enter the job market; or you simply have time on your hands and would like to help then give us a ring!
Harambee provides the opportunity to work in a small but very friendly office in the city centre within a motivated team of people who are passionate about raising awareness of development issues. Support is provided by the Volunteer Coordinator and other staff members (although a certain amount of initiative is required) and training opportunities can be identified and encouraged. We are members of Cambridge Centre for Voluntary Services and, as such, can make the most of opportunities for further training that they offer. We are also considering offering an internship programme during 2007 so keep your eyes peeled for further information on this website.
Give us a ring if any of the following volunteer opportunities interest you.
